Durham Bulls Athletic Park and the MiLB All Star Game

As a sponsor and a fan of the Durham Bulls, the Wilson Law PA family loves to attend the home games! The Durham Bulls Athletic Park recently underwent $20 million dollars in renovations making a visit to ballpark even more fun. The renovations included many new amenities for game attendees – more concessions, additional comfortable seating and better lighting so we can see the Bulls win all the more better!

Going to the game
because of the popularity and local support of the Durham Bulls, there can be quite a crowd at the gate going into the games. Thus, the renovations included a new entrance down the third-base line to make entering the stadium easier for all fans. There’s also new picnic-style seating in the right field for families; and, businesses should take note of the renovated PNC Triangle Club. The decor in the Club shows off Durham Bulls history. There’s a bar and full catering available during the games as well. Watching a baseball game from inside has never been so nice!

During the Game
Part of going to a ball game is enjoying a meal! New food options include a taqueria and unusual fare such as elk and pheasant brats. There’s a full bar over by the picnic-seating near right field and local beers such as Natty Greene’s and Triangle Brewing are available. In addition to the new lighting, a new scoreboard and video screen will better help you keep up with the game. Even if you are sitting far away from the field, you’ll be able to see your favorite players up close!

After the Game
After most evening games on Fridays and Saturdays, there’s a fireworks show…so be sure to stick around! If you are still wide awake after the game, walk over to the American Tobacco Historic District and get a slice of pizza at Mellow Mushroom or a beer at Tyler’s.

The Durham Bulls will be able to show off the new stadium on a national level, as they will be hosting the 2014 Triple-A All Star Festivities in July. All-Star ticket packages are available here. Of course, nothing beats a home game! Watch the Durham Bulls take on Syracuse Chiefs this Friday, June 20th at 7:05 PM. Stick around for fireworks after the game!
