We are led by attorney Kimberly Wilson White, who has 21 years of experience as a litigator. In addition to her doctor of jurisprudence (J.D.), Kim also has a Master’s in Public Health from UNC Chapel Hill. This gives her clients an edge in the litigation process because not only does she know about courtroom procedure and trials, she also has extensive knowledge about the inner workings of the FDA process for approval of pharmaceutical drugs and medical devices; and, she has relationships with world renowned experts in medicine, epidemiology and public policy. Kim’s education, background and litigation experience has given her the ability to successfully resolve many different types of complex litigation cases on behalf of her clients. For example, she has handled medical malpractice cases involving the untimely diagnosis of spinal abscesses; pharmaceutical cases involving diet drugs and primary pulmonary hypertension; medical device cases involving transvaginal mesh and injury to organs; and, car accident cases where clients have catastrophic injuries requiring multiple surgeries and ultimately impacting their ability to earn a living.
Our associate attorney, Marc Downing, offers a unique insight to Wilson Law, P.A., as all the work he has ever done has been on behalf of plaintiffs. Marc completed his bachelor’s degree at the University of Florida and received his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. Marc works side by side with Kim on all of the firm’s catastrophic personal injury cases.
Buffy has been a paralegal for over twenty years, and is the litigation manager at Wilson Law P.A. She obtained her associate’s degree in Paralegal Technology in 1994. She has over 20 years of experience in personal injury and medical malpractice cases, and she has concentrated on mass torts and pharmaceutical litigation for the past 12 years. Her day to day works consists of reviewing medical records and medical billing to identify all of our clients’ injuries and make sure they are fairly compensated for those injuries. Her work has helped our attorneys succeed against pharmaceutical companies, insurance companies and academic medical facilities.
Lisa is our executive administrative assistant. She has fulfilled a number of duties for various law firms both big and small. She understands that a client needs the compassion, understanding and quality legal counsel which Wilson Law provides. In her twenty years of experience in personal injury, she has gained the knowledge to answer many questions our clients have when an attorney is not available. Lisa is usually the first person a prospective clients speaks with when calling the firm. She is a tremendous resource for clients needing information about the litigation process.
Our office administrator, Claudia, brings a wealth of experience in finance and administration to Wilson Law, P.A., which helps her manage the day to day activities and finances of the firm so that the staff can focus on our clients’ needs. She has over 35 years of experience in the world of business administration. Claudia brings with her 17 years of experience with AT&T, where she handled their budget, human resources, and administration. She is an invaluable asset to the administrations of Wilson Law, P.A.
Karen’s experience in the legal field is just beginning. In high school, she interned for criminal defense attorneys and translated for a family law firm in Harnett County, North Carolina prior to joining Wilson Law, P.A. Now a college graduate from NC State University, she is learning more and more about the litigation process from the staff at Wilson Law, P.A. As a bilingual team member, Karen is able to further provide a compassionate experience to our Hispanic clients.
