Beth Svendsgaard serves as a certified paralegal for Wilson Law, P.A., taking responsibility for the day-to-day work on all cases. Assisting the lawyers in the development and building of a case from start to finish is the foundation of Beth’s work. Beth has vast experience in plaintiffs’ personal injury and medical malpractice work and has a keen sense of how to document damages in cases so that the clients have the best opportunity to receive full compensation for their losses. Beth’s duties include communicating with clients on a daily basis, obtaining and reviewing medical records and billing information, working to reduce liens to increase the clients’ bottom line, assisting the lawyers in both federal and state court filings, interviewing both fact and expert witnesses, maintaining the firm’s docket, and assisting with all aspects of preparation for mediation, depositions, and trial.
Wilson Law, P.A. stays updated on current technology and utilizes a secure, cloud-based case management system to allow attorneys and staff rapid access to case information so there is no delay in responding to client needs. The entirety of a case file is accessible electronically, thus reducing the need for large, cumbersome paper files. Because Wilson Law is largely paperless, client expenses are reduced. Beth enjoys the ease of use of this case management system as well as online, secure file sharing systems used by Wilson Law.
Beth focuses on client relations and encourages the firm’s clients to contact her with their questions and concerns. She also believes that when people are suffering a loss such as from a motor vehicle collision, medical negligence, or pharmaceutical injury, a kind voice on the other end of the line can offer support. Keeping clients updated on their cases and being there for them when they need a supportive listener are responsibilities Beth takes seriously.
Beth was born in Virginia where her father played football for the University of Virginia and her mother worked in the Athletic Director’s office. Her family moved to North Carolina, later to Illinois, and then back to North Carolina when Beth was growing up. Beth considers Raleigh her home, as she has lived here longer than anywhere else.
Beth is the proud parent of three boys, who have grown up faster than she would like, and are currently high school and college students. The family has two beloved rescue dogs, Biscuit and Junebug.
