Kim Wilson Appointed to Transvaginal Mesh Plaintiff’s Steering Committee

Kim Wilson, lead counsel at Wilson Law, P.A., was recently appointed by Federal District Court Judge Joseph Goodwin to the Plaintiff’s Steering Committee (PSC) in the transvaginal mesh federal multi-district litigation (MDL) proceedings based in West Virginia.

This litigation involves thousands of women severely injured because of the placement of a transvaginal mesh device for pelvic organ prolapse (POP) or stress urinary incontinence (SUI). As a member of the PSC, Kim’s role will be to coordinate the prosecution of lawsuits against the pelvic mesh manufacturers American Medical Systems, Boston Scientific, C.R. Bard and Ethicon/Gynecare (Johnson & Johnson).

Kim attended undergraduate and law school at West Virginia University; thus, she welcomes the opportunity to return to the state where her legal career began to handle cases on behalf of women who have been significantly injured by these products.
